Minor Requirements

• 2.75 ÐÔÊӽ紫ý GPA or higher
• GEB 3375 Intro to International Business – Core Class (C or higher)
• 6-9 US credits of CBA-approved coursework completed outside the U.S. (C or higher)
• One (3 credit) Restricted Elective if completing only 6 credits abroad (C or higher); not required if completing 9 credits abroad (C or higher)

Required Courses

• Complete all of the following
  • Core Class: GEB3375 Intro to International Business with a C or higher (3 credits). Students are not required to complete this prior to studying abroad.
  • Complete the following:
    • GEB3375 - Introduction to International Business (3)
  Select 12 to 15 hours of Study Abroad
  • Complete all of the following
    • Earn at least 12 credits from the following types of courses: GEB 3955 - Study Abroad or GEB 4955 - Study Abroad
    • 12-15 US credits of CBA-approved coursework completed outside the U.S. with a C or higher (12-15 credits)

Restricted Electives

• Complete all of the following
  • Another restricted elective may be approved at the discretion of the Associate Director of Study Abroad in the College of Business Administration
  • Select one of the courses below only if less than 15 hours of Study Abroad completed:
  • One (3 credit) Restricted Elective if completing only 12 credits abroad (C or higher); not required if student completes 15 credits abroad (C or higher)
  • Complete at least 1 of the following:
    • MAN4600 - International Management (3)
    • MAN4441 - Conflict Resolution and Negotiation (3)
    • MAR4156 - International Marketing (3)
    • GEO3471 - World Political Geography (3)
    • LAS3002 - Topics in Latin American Studies (3)
    • JST3821 - Israel: Start-Up Nation (3)
    • GEA4405 - Geography of Latin America (3)

Other Requirements

• A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in all courses used to satisfy the minor.
• GEB 3375 cannot count as both the core class for the minor and as 3 of the minimum 12 US credits of approved business coursework completed outside the U.S. Students are welcome to complete the core class while abroad; however, they must take two Restricted Electives instead of just one (in order to reach 18 credits) - unless they go abroad for a second time and obtain an additional 3 credits, which some students choose to do.
• Lower division courses taken at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý College System institutions do not substitute for upper division courses.
• Courses taken as part of a ÐÔÊӽ紫ý College of Business exchange program, will be reviewed for appropriateness by the College of Business Study Abroad Director. Additional information may be required by the Study Abroad Director to determine the appropriateness of the course taken.
• Courses transferred into the College of Business from a foreign institution, that are not part of a College of Business exchange program, must be formally evaluated for equivalency credit. The student must provide a course syllabus and any other supporting information with his/her petition for this evaluation.
• At least nine hours used in the minor must be coursework registered through ÐÔÊӽ紫ý College of Business Study Abroad.
• No credit by exam (TSD, Military credit) may be used.
• Internship, Independent Study, or Directed Research credit cannot be used toward the minor.
• A maximum of six hours of the above listed required or elective courses can count toward another major or minor degree program.
• The College of Business does not permit any course used towards the minor or those used to meet admission requirements for the minor to be taken on an elective S/U grading basis.
