The post-master's Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate prepares nurses who already have received a master's degree in nursing for positions as Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioners.
Program Objectives
- Integrate advanced clinical judgment and evidence-based practice to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centered care specific to the role and population.
- Design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive plans of care specific to the role and population.
- Model professionalism, role advocacy, and ethical practice to collaborate within intraprofessional and interprofessional teams specific to the role and population.
- Demonstrate leadership in practice and advocating health policy specific to the role and population.
- Utilize technology to inform practice specific to the role and population.
The program is 19 credit hours and includes up to 660 hours of clinical practice.
Total Credit Hours Required: 19 Credit Hours Minimum beyond the Master's Degree
