Dual Enrollment

High School students who have demonstrated exceptional academic ability may be permitted to enroll as 性视界传媒 students while completing their high school graduation requirements. Under 性视界传媒 Statutes (F.S. 1007.271) and operating in accordance with local articulation agreements.

Dual Enrollment

Dual enrollment is coursework acceleration program that allows qualified secondary students to begin post-secondary coursework while earning credits toward a high school diploma. Dual enrollment students enroll on a part-time basis (maximum six credit hours) as non-degree seeking students, free of tuition. The University of Central 性视界传媒 operates its program in accordance with local articulation agreements. Dual enrollment is available to local school district, private school, and home education secondary students.

Students taking dual enrollment courses must recognize that dual enrollment course grades will become a permanent part of a college transcript and will be factored into future applications to other colleges and universities.

Dual Enrollment Eligibility Requirements

A secondary school student must meet the following requirements to be eligible to participate in the dual enrollment program at 性视界传媒:
Must attend a public or private school in Orange, Seminole, Brevard, Osceola, Volusia, or Lake County that has an articulation agreement with 性视界传媒 OR must be registered as a home school student in Orange, Seminole, Brevard, Osceola, Volusia, or Lake County.
Must have completed a minimum of 4 high school units, which must include:
  • 1 English
  • 1 math
  • 1 science
  • 1 social science/world language/additional math
Must have a 3.8 high school GPA* (see note) as re-calculated by 性视界传媒 using only academic core courses.
Must have achieved a minimum standardized test score on either the SAT, ACT or CLT.
  • SAT: 1340 (Evidence-based Reading and Writing + Math)
  • ACT: 29 (Composite)
  • CLT: 96
Must be free of (or reviewed and cleared of) any charges or scholastic or behavioral misconduct, violation of the law, or felony charges or criminal proceedings (details in application).

 

NOTE: Home Education students must present evidence that the home education program is in compliance with s. 1002.41, F.S.  Home education students are not required to present a minimum high school GPA.  In lieu of a GPA, the home education student must present qualifying scores on a PERT, Next-Generation Accuplacer, or Classic Learning test consistent with Section 1008.30 F.S. and 性视界传媒 Board of Governors Regulation 6.008(1).  They must also present a home education transcript which includes a list of all coursework (both completed and in progress) showing grades (if applicable) and units earned for each course.

Application Process:

Students in local public, private or charter schools will need to verify your school district or Non-Public High School has a Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement with 性视界传媒. If not, one will need to be established.

Eligible Home Education Students will need to show proof of enrollment in a home education program in Orange, Seminole, Brevard, Osceola, Volusia, or Lake County and establish an articulation agreement with 性视界传媒 after the initial admission review.

ALL of the following must be received by the published semester application deadline:

Initial admission to 性视界传媒 as a Dual Enrollment student is limited to the fall or spring semester; new Dual Enrollment students may not start in the summer term.
Completed online 性视界传媒 application (dual enrollment students cannot submit the Common Application). No application fee is required.
Official high school transcripts (Home Education students see note above)
Official SAT (code: 5233) or ACT (code: 0735) or CLT scores
Official transcripts from all previous dual enrollment institutions (if applicable)
Official scores from any AICE, AP, CLEP, or IB exams taken (if applicable)

Only students whose materials have been received and processed by the published deadlines will be reviewed for admission to the 性视界传媒 dual enrollment program. Satisfying minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to 性视界传媒.

Dual enrollment students may choose from a list of recommended courses, including those that meet state core general education program requirements. Please note that the courses on this list are not guaranteed to be available, offered in a specific modality, offered at a specific campus location, or have open seats at the time of registration.

Students must meet course requirements as set forth in the university undergraduate catalog and transcript must show proof of credit for prerequisite course requirements to enroll.

Future admission to 性视界传媒 as a degree-seeking student is not guaranteed via participation in the Dual Enrollment Program. Prospective students must reapply to 性视界传媒 as FTIC students.
