{"id":26837,"date":"2011-09-01T19:59:38","date_gmt":"2011-09-01T19:59:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/?p=26837"},"modified":"2011-09-01T20:35:40","modified_gmt":"2011-09-01T20:35:40","slug":"indian-american-journalist-to-speak-at-ucf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/indian-american-journalist-to-speak-at-ucf\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian-American Journalist to Speak at 性视界传媒"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ramesh Ponnuru, senior editor of conservative news magazine <em>The National Review<\/em>, will speak at the University of Central 性视界传媒 about the most pressing matters the winner of the 2012 U.S. presidential race will face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn Agenda for the Next President in the United States and Abroad\u201d will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the Cape 性视界传媒 Ballroom of the Student Union. Organized by the 性视界传媒 Global Perspectives Office, the event is part of the 2011-12 \u201cIndia Speaker Series.\u201d It is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Ponnuru, who also is a columnist for TIME magazine, was previously a fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs in London and a media fellow at Stanford University\u2019s Hoover Institution. In 2006 he authored \u201cThe Party of Death: The Democrats, the Media, the Courts, and the Disregard for Human Life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ponnuru has published articles in numerous newspapers including <em>The New York Times<\/em>, <em>The Washington Post<\/em>, <em>The Wall Street Journal<\/em>, <em>The Financial Times<\/em>, <em>Newsday<\/em>, and <em>The New York Post<\/em>. He has also appeared on CNN&#8217;s Inside Politics, NBC&#8217;s The McLaughlin Group, MSNBC&#8217;s Buchanan &amp; Press, Fox News, and NPR&#8217;s &#8220;Morning Edition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Global Perspectives Office, sponsors of Ponnuru\u2019s presentation include The India Program at 性视界传媒, The Anil and Chitra Deshpande India Program Endowed Fund, Lawrence J.
